Karen and I spoke to Robert, Jr. today. Robert and his family and friends were celebrating his imminent induction into the Navy with an open house today. I wish we could have been there too. It sounds as if you were celebrating in style.
We are very proud of you, Robert, and we're certain you're bound for great things! Karen and I have noticed the maturity and positive attitute you exude even now. We are with you all the way and will remember you in our prayers.
We'll be waiting for your return and for a chance to see you after basic training. Until then, we'll be thinking of you often.
Give it hell, son. There are no limits to what you will accomplish. We love you.

Robert leaves on March 9th. I will drop him at the recruit center at 2 PM and he will be bused to McGuire AFB in cental New Jersey to stay overnight. He'll then take a military flight to Great Lakes, north of Chicago for 8 weeks. From there it's off to Pensacola for A school where he'll learn to repair aircraft engines for 8 months. After that who knows. He is excited about this. He told me he wants to be the best and make us proud. We're already proud of him.

I have been thinking about Robert's new adventure as well. We are keeping him in our thoughts and prayers and know he is onto big things! Do you have an address for him?
We are thinking about you and Lisa as well, it isa bitter sweet adventure for parents too.
Love to all, Martha
